Review

A second opinion on your scrapers, proxies and anti-bot approach

A fixed-scope review of how your extraction runs today: where it breaks, what it costs and what we would change. Quoted per engagement.

Teams that run their own scrapers usually reach us at the same point: the crawler works most days, proxy bills keep growing and nobody is sure why a particular site started blocking. A review gives you a written answer. We read your code and logs, test the target sites ourselves, and come back with a report that ranks the problems, estimates the savings and lays out the changes in the order we would make them. The price is quoted after a short call.

In detail

How it works

01

Anti-bot audit

For each target site we identify the protection in front of it, how it is currently detecting you and what a passing request looks like. You get a per-site table: vendor, detection signals observed, recommended approach and expected stability over time.

02

Proxy and cost review

We look at proxy type per site, rotation, retry logic and concurrency and compare them with what the site actually requires. Most teams over-buy residential bandwidth where datacenter IPs or better fingerprints would do; the report puts a number on that.

03

Code and reliability walkthrough

Scheduler, error handling, deduplication, storage layout and alerting are reviewed against how we run our own jobs. Findings are concrete: file, line and the change we would make, not general advice about best practices.

04

Report and follow-through

You receive a written report and a call to walk through it with the engineer who did the work. If you want us to implement the changes, the review fee is credited against an engineer month or a project quote.

Questions

About scraping architecture review

How long does a review take?

Typically one to two weeks from access to report, depending on how many sites and repositories are in scope. We agree the scope and a fixed price before starting.

Do you need access to our code?

Read access to the relevant repositories and logs is ideal, under NDA if you prefer. If that is not possible we can still review target sites and proxy setup from the outside, with a narrower report.

What does a review cost?

It is quoted per engagement based on the number of sites and the size of the codebase. Small reviews are comparable to a single project; larger ones are priced as engineer weeks.

Can you implement the recommendations?

Yes. Most reviews lead to either a project quote for the specific fixes or an engineer joining your team for a month or two to make them. The review fee is credited either way.

Tell us the site. We'll tell you what it takes.

Send a URL and the fields you need. An engineer looks at it the same day and replies with a plan and a price.
