Project work

A scraper built for one site, delivered with the data

Tell us the site and the fields. We build the scraper, run it, hand you the output and fix anything that breaks for 30 days. From $500 per site.

Most of our project work starts the same way: a URL, a list of fields and a rough row count. An engineer looks at the site within 24 hours, checks what protects it and what its pages actually return, and replies with a plan and a fixed price. We build the scraper, send a sample within a few days, run the full job and deliver the data in the format you asked for. You own the output; if you want the code as well, that is part of the quote.

In detail

How it works

01

Scope in 24 hours

Send the URL and the fields. We check robots directives and terms, the anti-bot in front of the site, pagination, login walls and whether a mobile or internal API is cleaner than the HTML. You get a yes or no, a plan and a price the next working day.

02

Sample before the full run

Within about three days you get a sample file with the real schema, usually a few hundred rows. You check field names, formats and edge cases while the scraper is still cheap to change. The full run starts once you sign off on the sample.

03

Hard sites included

Cloudflare, Akamai, DataDome, PerimeterX, Kasada and captcha walls are normal work for us, not a surprise surcharge. Fingerprint rotation, session handling and request-level reverse engineering are chosen per site and explained in the quote before you commit.

04

Delivery and a 30-day fix window

Data lands as CSV, JSON Lines, Parquet, a database load or files in your S3 or GCS bucket. If the site changes within 30 days of delivery and the scraper breaks, we fix it at no cost. Recurring runs are quoted separately per month.

Questions

About custom scraper development

How much does a custom scraper cost?

Project work starts at $500 per site and most single-site jobs land close to that. The price goes up with anti-bot difficulty, login requirements and row volume, and we tell you the number before any work starts.

Do I get the scraper code or just the data?

By default you get the data. If you want the source code, say so in the brief; we hand over a documented repository and the price reflects the extra packaging. Many clients then hire an engineer by the month to keep it running.

Which languages and tools do you use?

Mostly Python and Node.js, with Playwright or raw HTTP clients depending on the site. Where it fits, we publish the scraper as an Apify Actor so you can run it yourself with pay-per-result billing.

What if the site blocks the scraper halfway through?

That is our problem, not yours. We watch runs, rotate fingerprints and proxies when a protection reacts, and the quote already covers the retries needed to complete the job.

Tell us the site. We'll tell you what it takes.

Send a URL and the fields you need. An engineer looks at it the same day and replies with a plan and a price.
